Professional career
Matthias Dorner took geography (with a focus on economic geography), economics and sociology at the universities of Augsburg and Wuerzburg as well as studying abroad at the University of Helsinki (Finland) for eight months. In 2009 he finished his degree in geography (Diplom-Geograph) at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Wuerzburg. During the course of his studies as well as after graduation in 2009, he had already been involved in regional labour market research at IAB in Nuremberg in various different assignments. Mr Dorner joined the staff of the Research Data Centre of IAB (FDZ) in 2010, since 2012 he is also working as a researcher in the Research Department B2 - Regional Labour Markets.
