The focal points of Mr Bender's research are the possibilities for merging process and/or survey data; the anonymization of establishment data; further training; as well as the cohort effects and effects on establishments of active labour market policy.
Professional career
Stefan Bender studied sociology and statistics in Mannheim completing his studies in 1990 (Diplom-Soziologe). From 1990 to 1992 he was a researcher at the University Mannheim. Mr Bender joined IAB as a researcher in 1992 and has been Head of the Research Data Centre of the Federal Employment Agency since 2005.
