The FDZ servers are restarted monthly due to updates.

During the update, there will be restrictions on the operation of JoSuA and Remote Desktop access.

Please do not start any new jobs in JoSuA during the update period. Also, make sure that all jobs are completed and interim results are saved before the update begins. This applies to jobs started via JoSuA, on-site visit and remote desktop access.

Since all servers will be restarted, the update will cause all running jobs to be terminated.

The following dates are currently scheduled for the updates:

• Start of update: March 21, 2026, end of update: March 23, 2026, morning
• Start of update: April 25, 2026, end of update: April 27, 2026, morning
• Start of update: May 23, 2026, end of update: May 26, 2026, morning
• Start of update June 20, 2026, end of update June 22, 2026, morning

• Start of update: August 22, 2026, end of update: August 24, 2026, morning

The new version 9324 of the IAB Establishment Panel (IAB-Betriebspanel) is now available. The working tools can be downloaded from the FDZ homepage. Additional BHP modules and AKM establishment fixed effects for the IAB Establishment Panel 9324 are also available. Further information

The document "Manuals for Remote Data Access and On-Site Use at the FDZ of the BA at the IAB" in our key working tools has been editorially revised and updated or clarified in some places. No comprehensive changes have been made to the processes; however, we ask that you refer to the updated manuals in your future data work.

The new data product “Data from the Treuhandanstalt (“Trust agency”) linked with the Establishment History Panel (BHP) of the IAB (THA-BHP 8923)” is now provided by the FDZ at the IAB. The THA-BHP 8923 links administrative establishment data of the IAB (Establishment History Panel, 1992–2023) with the data of the Treuhandanstalt (THA) and the Federal Agency for Unification-Related Special Tasks (BvS) of the Federal Archives (THA-BHP 8923). It is now possible to identify former GDR companies or their establishments that were privatised by the THA/BvS in the IAB's administrative data. Further information.
