Summary
The Administrative Wage and Labor Market Flow Panel (AWFP) is a dataset on labour market flows and stocks for the universe of German establishments covering the years 1975–2014. It contains, for each establishment, data on job flows, worker flows, and wages. In addition, the AWFP comprises this information for partitions of the labour force according to various employee characteristics and for some subgroups of employees.
The Administrative Wage and Labor Market Flow Panel Extension for the IAB Establishment Panel (AWFP-EP) contains selected AWFP variables for establishments surveyed by the IAB Establishment Panel in the years 1993–2014. The AWFP-EP data are available on an annual and on a quarterly basis.

Data Access
The AWFP-EP is no longer available as a separate data product, but can be requested as an extension file to the IAB Establishment Panel.
Test data
We do not offer special test data for the AWFP-EP, but test data for the FDZ-AWFP. The FDZ-AWFP test data cover a longer period (1976-2014) than the AWFP-EP (1993-2014) and includes the variable “betnr” instead of “idnum” as the establishment identifier. Otherwise, FDZ-AWFP and AWFP-EP differ only in the sampling of the establishments.

Stüber and Seth (2017, updated Dec. 2018) describe the data generation process of the AWFP and all of its variables.
Further working tools such as the overview on classifications of economic activities, a list of upper earnings limits and marginal part-time income thresholds, and papers on working with the FDZ data can be found at key working tools of the FDZ.
