Professional background

Andreas Filser has a M.Sc. in socio-economics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and a B.A. in sociology and economics from the University of Konstanz, for which he also spent time at Uppsala Universitet (Sweden). From March 2016, he held a position as research assistant in the group for Social Research Methods at the University of Oldenburg, where he successfully completed his PhD in January 2022. In April 2021, Andreas joined the Research Data Centre of the Institute for Employment Research (FDZ-IAB) as a Research Fellow. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of social demography, family sociology and labour market research. At the FDZ, he works in an international project on labour market consequences of motherhood in Germany and France.
