Nettoeinkommen in Deutschland
Abstract
"The administrative data of the Institute for Employment Research, which contain the employment history of all German employees, cover only their gross income. For analyses based on net income researchers had to rely on survey data for instance from the Panel Study Labor Market and Social Security (PASS). The FDZ method report 01/2014, however, shows a way to deduce the net income approximately from the administrative data's gross income.<br> This method report evaluates the accuracy of the deduced net income values. The deduced net income values of 3700 participants in the PASS study are compared with their self-reported net income complemented by an analysis of the deviations. We demonstrate that the deduced net income values match the self-reported net income very well on average. The deduced net income from the administrative data can therefore substitute net income reports from surveys." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
