Abstract
The FDZ supports the SWD consortium, whose mission is to strengthen, expand and deepen the research data infrastructure for the study of society. It is to be designed in a use-oriented way and to take into account the needs of the research communities. KonsortSWD's FDM strategy aims to provide technical and content support to researchers and research data centers in the management and post-use of (new) sensitive and non-sensitive data in accordance with FAIR principles. This includes, in addition to sustainable FDM over the research data lifecycle, above all ensuring data availability while taking ethical and legal aspects into account. The FDZ supports KonsortSWD in selected measures, is a member of the FDI Committee and the Monitoring Commission. Mark Trappmann is chairman of the advisory board of KonsortSWD and representative of the Federal Employment Agency in the Council for German Data Forum (RatSWD), which is an independent advisory board of the federal government that is part of KonsortSWD.
