The IAB will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Research Data Centre on 9 and 10 April 2024. On this occasion, we cordially invite you to a two-day anniversary event in Nuremberg.
On the first day, we will celebrate the successes of the Research Data Centre and its importance for the international research community at a ceremony. We look forward to welcoming speeches by Andrea Nahles, Chair of the Executive Board of the Federal Employment Agency, and Bernd Fitzenberger, Director of the Institute for Employment Research, as well as a keynote speech by Till von Wachter (University of California Los Angeles). In a panel discussion with guests who have accompanied the FDZ over many years, we will reflect on the past 20 years.

The second day is dedicated to an international conference entitled "Investigating social inequalities using survey and register data". Researchers from different countries will have the opportunity to present their findings in various areas of labour market research. We are looking forward to keynote speeches by Marie Evertsson (Stockholm University) and Thomas Lemieux (University of British Columbia). The conference language will be German on the first day and English on the second day.
